NYX Butter Gloss- Peach Cobbler

Hey guys, hope your well.
Today's post is about this lovely butter gloss from NYX:

I have it in the shade Peach cobbler and it's a lovely peachy coral shade that's perfect for summer.

I love everything about this gloss and will definitely be picking up a few more shades when I next can.
It has such a nice amount of pigment in it. Not too sheer but not too in your face either. The packaging is a good concept as well, as the colour of the packaging corresponds with the colour of the butter gloss. This will come in very handy if you have a few too many lip products as it's easily recognisable.

The dough-foot applicator picks up the perfect amount of product and it's easily controlled.
The only thing I would maybe change is the stickyness. If it's windy and you have long loose hair it could have a tendancy to get stuck in it but that happens with the majority of glosses so it's not too big of a deal.
It retails at 5.49 Euro which is a nice price for the quality. Lasting time is around the 2 hour mark but I lose the glossyness at around an hour. the colour does stay though so I do like that about it.
I already have my eye on 4 other shades so do try them if you ever see them, just be prepared to want more.
Have you tried these? What did you think?

L'Oreal Paris Extra-Volume Collagene mascara

Hey guys, hope you are well.
In a recent splurge in a chemist i came across a box of L'Oreal products reduced down to 2 Euro, there wasn't much left but i did manage to get my hands on this:

L'Oreal Extra-Collagene mascara

I had actually never heard of this particular mascara. Usually ads for L'Oreal are on all the time showcasing their products but I don't remember seeing this one. Maybe it's been out for a few years?
I picked it up anyway thinking that if it was good I'd got a bargain and it if wasn't then well, it was only two euro.
It has a wand with bristles that grabs every lash and is in an hourglass shape.

I am glad I picked it up. While it definitely isn't my new favourite mascara it's still very decent.
It's very black and it applies nicely- as long as your not in a rush.
The first time I applied this I really didn't like it as it clumped together so badly. It gave me about six lashes as it was so clumpy.
I don't have anything against spidery ashes but it did look ridiculous.
I didn't want to write it off so i gave it a few more go's over a couple of days and I've found a way to use it that I like.
When I open it I scrape off as much of the mascara as I can and then wave it around for a few seconds to dry it a little bit. I then do two to three very light coats going in with a lash brush if there are any clumps.
This leaves me with voluminous and fanned out lashes with no clumps.
If I was in in a rush I would probably skip this mascara but when I have time I do like to use as I really like the effect it gives.
No mascara
Lovely fanned out lashes
It doesn't give me an awful lot of volume but I'm not really one for it anyway, but just keep that in mind if you're looking for a mascara with volumising properties.
All in all it is a nice mascara, doesn't really do what it says it will but its very black and will fan out your lashes beautifully.

NYX Matte Lipstick-Summer Breeze

Hey Guys, hope you're well.
So recently I got a few things from NYX and this matte lipstick was one of them.

I got it in the shade Summer Breeze and it's a beautiful candy pink.

It's a little bit lighter than the pinks I would normally go for but for summer I can just about pull it off with m slightly darker skin tone.
In the winter I might mix it a little bit with a deeper pink shade.
For a lipstick that is marketed as being matte I find it very creamy to apply and its beautifully opaque and doesn't dry out my lips at all.
The finish isn't as matte as I was hoping for though and lasting time is around the two hour mark- not one the longest lasting mattes in my collection but it doesn't leave that horrible line around the outline of my lips as it wears away, which is definitely something I appreciate
I do love the finish even if it's not matte and I'll definitely be picking up a few more of the shades as soon as i can.
Have you tried these lipsticks? What are your thoughts on them?

Beauty Haul!

Hi guys and welcome back.
So yesterday i found out that NYX finally had a stand in an area that wasn't to far away from me.
I hotfooted it over and had my money at the ready.
The stand had just been put in that day and not all the products were there yet so I'll have to make another trip in a week or two I think.
This is what I got altogether:

I picked up a few L'Oreal bits as the were all reduced to two Euro.
This was because they got rid of the stand to make way for the NYX stand.

These were the 3 NYX products i picked up.
The HD Photogenic concealer in the very yellow shade which was 6.99 Euro
a Butter Gloss in Peach Cobbler (6.49) and a matte lipstick in the shade Summer Breeze.(5.49)

I picked up 4 products from L'oreal as they were on such a good deal. I would've got more but this was the only things left that I liked the look of.
I got a Perfect Match concealer in the shade 3 Cream,
a Glam Shine Miss Candy lip gloss in 703 Tart Lollipop,
a Colour Infallible pressed pigment 14 eternal Black and an Extra Volume Collagene mascara in Smoky Black.

From the Catrice stand I picked up two of their BB Allround Foundations in 010 Light Beige , half price at 3.53 Euro
These were half price as they are getting discontinued soon and i may pick up another few as they are one of my favourite bases. Review here
I also picked up their Photo Finish foundation in the shade 010 Sand Beige. This was 6.99 Euro.
No doubt you'll see these products being reviewed in the coming weeks when i have properly got a feel for them.
What do you think of the items i got? Are there any i should of left behind or stocked up more on?
Thanks for reading!

Essence Liquid Eyeliner- Waterproof

Hey guys and welcome back.
Today I have one of my favourite eyeliners to review for you.
 Essence Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
This was one of the first liquid eyeliners that I bought when I was switching from kohl to something a bit more black. I've repurchased this more times than I can count and I use this one over my more 'high-end' eyeliners the majority of the time.
It was with this eyeliner that I learnt how to do a cat eye and actually get a nice straight line.
The tip just made it so easy.

The tip  is a flock applicator- basically a spongy material, and it's also slightly curved so it hugs the lash line-
no annoying gap between the lashes with this one.
Its also very highly pigmented, not a very dark grey colour like others I've tried, and it sets matte.

Drying time is also very quick as well so you won't have to keep your eye's closed for ages to stop it transferring.
I haven't noticed any flaking with this eyeliner either but that's not usually a problem i would have anyway.
For less than 4 Euro your getting an amazing product.
I would definitely recommend this eyeliner, the price and the results are just unbeatable.
Have you tried this eyeliner? What did you think?

Everyday unicorn dresses up with Fanny Crown

Hey guys and welcome back.
So, so far everything on the blog has been beauty related but I'm going to try a fashion post.
Now I'm not by any means fashionable at all.
I live in leggings and hoodies, although I have been getting out of my comfort zone with dresses when the
weathers nice, but that's about it really.
So I was emailed about a week ago by Fanny Crown ,to enter a competition which I think runs every
month on their website.I was a bit hesitant a first but I thought I'd give it a go and break up the routine a little
on my blog. I checked out their website and was a bit overwhelmed really. They had such an array of styles to choose from that i didn't really know where to start. I made my way over to the Cocktail dresses and fell in love with so many.
I prefer my dresses to have sleeves of some sort as I don't like to show off my arms and they had so many styles with sleeves here, I was delighted.
This is the dress I chose:

I have a wedding coming up and if i had the money I would actually buy this dress.
It's priced at 159 Euro, but I don't think this style would go out of fashion as it's just so elegant so it would
be one I could wear quite a few times.
It's just so different to anything I would find on the high street so I would know for sure that someone at the
wedding wouldn't have the same dress as me. This has happened on more than one ocassion.
I love the way that it's fitted at the waist and then flares out a little. This is just so flattering on any shape.
the embellishment is just so pretty as well. It's quite delicate but interesting at the same time.

I would pair it with nude peep-toe shoes from Primark:
These are so comfortable and that's always important for weddings as you spend so much time on your feet
dancing. Well I do anyway.
They are also quite summery as the have the peep toe and I would do my toes with the same colour as my fingernails.

My makeup would be a gold smoky eye:
Using MUA's Undress Me Too palette and Essence's liquid eyeliner.
It's my go-to understated smoky eye and the gold makes blue eyes blue-er.
I would probably wear a pair of fake eyelashes to up the drama just a little bit.

MAC Magenta lipliner on the lips.
This will give me a nice pop of colour as the dress is black and silver
Jewelery would be low key as the dress is so embellished so maybe a small pair of silver drop earrings like
 these ones:
Designed by Solvar for Raglan Road

Nails would be this Catrice colour in Holi Hai

So thats my attempt at putting an outfit together.
Do you think these items would go well together? Have you had any experience with Fanny crown?

MUA Undress Me too and Heaven And Earth Palettes Review

Hey guys and welcome back.
Today I have another eye shadow palette review for you.
Top: Undress me too
Bottom: Heaven and Earth
These have been out now for a good while but I've only recently got them and I'm really enjoying them.
Undress Me Too is the one I've probably used most of.
It has a mixture of warm and cool tones which i like using together.

There are twelve shades in this palette, three of which are matte (Naked, Lavish and Corrupt) and these are the least pigmented. The shimmer shades are lovely though, not as buttery as some of my shadow palettes but still very nice. There isn't a lot of fallout with these shadows.
Top row, swatched left to right
Bottom Row, swatched left to right

The heaven and earth palette contains all shimmery shades which i don't mind to much but a matte transition colour would be handy. They are all very pigmented and fall out is minimal.

Top row L-R
Bottom row L-R
I can't find any shade names for this palette.
As you can see they are all quite shimmery but very pigmented.
The packaging for both these palettes is quite cheap feeling. I think if I dropped them it would just break apart. In saying that these palettes are priced at 6 Euro so even if they did break it wouldn't be a huge loss.
Wear time is around seven to eight hours. Without a primer they do crease slightly on me but with a primer underneath they're just fine and they blend really nicely.
I would recommend these palettes but if you are a matte lover they're probably not the best option for you.
Have you tried these palettes?Have you any recommendations from the brand for me to try out next?
