Catrice Absolute Eye Colour

Hey guys, and welcome back.
Today's post is all about Catrice eye shadows, specifically the absolute eye colour range and I have 3 shades to review.
L-R 140 The Captain Of The Black Pearl, 420 Talk Like An Egyptian
570 Plum Up The Jam

As you can see Talk Like An Egyptian has seen better days. I dropped it but kind of fixed it by using alcohol.
swatched dry and then damp
As you can see there isn't really that much difference between them swatched dry and wet.Its only really noticeable with Talk Like An Egyptian.
The pigment on these isn't the greatest that I've ever tried but for under 3.50 they're really not that bad at all.
I would usually use a primer under and that does up the vibrancy on them considerably.
I use the black shade to smudge into my lash line for an understated eye when I don't have the patience for liquid eyeliner and i find that there is very little fallout for a black eye shadow. The other two shades also have very little fallout.
The gold is beautiful as an inner corner highlight and the plum shade is lovely for warming up a smoky eye.

Have you tried these eye shadows?what did you think?

Essence Colour and Go Nail Polishes

Hey guys and welcome back.
Todays post is going to be all about Essence's nail polishes. These guys are actually amazing, no joke.
132 Break Through and 109 Off To Miami!

They cost 1.49  each which is an absolute bargain considering how amazing they are.
Seriously.
Two coats is all you need for complete opaqueness, they dry so fast so there's no need to walk around flailing your hands for them to dry.

The brush is flat and wide which makes it so easy and quick to paint your nails. There are 48 shades to                choose from on the website and on the majority of stands with new colours out regularly with the                                                                   limited edition products.
Essence say ' gel-shine finish with a highly intensive shine and an extremely short drying time for perfectly polished nails in a flash! the patented quick & easy brush is particularly flat for an even easier application.'
And they're not lying.
two coats on each with no topcoat-look at the shine!

They last-on me- around four of five days with no chipping but if you wore a topcoat you would probably be able to get longer from them.

Have you tried these nail polishes? What did you think?

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick Review

Hey guys and welcome back.
Todays post is going to be about something I have wanted ever since I got into makeup. Not the shade per-se but the lipstick itself.
so pretty

I had researched the colours and formulas and decided on a 'my lips but better' shade, thinking i would get my moneys worth. I, of course, forgot everything i had researched as soon as I seen the MAC counter, but one of the girls seen my (quite apparent)floudering and offered to help. She recommended the shade Creme Cup (Cremesheen formula) and offered to apply it.
In the store it looked really nice, especially with the corresponding lipliner-which i didn't get-so i happily bought it.

I walked out chuffed with myself and after about half an hour i went to reapply it,just because i could, and i seen that outside in natural sunlight, the shade just didn't suit me.
with one coat,blotted,and reapplied

It was just too pale for my liking, and also shows up any imperfections that i have.
I was so dissapointed, not just because of the shade but the finish just wasn't what i was hoping for.Lasting time isn't that great either but it's not marketed at being long wearing anyway. You won't get much coverage on this either, the pigmentation isn't the best I've tried.I'm hoping i got a bad one as it hasn't put me off looking at new shades to splurge on next time i'm in Dublin, they're just so beautiful.
At 19 euro it was what I considered a splurge for a single lipstick. I'm perfectly happy with a Catrice or an Essence lipstick from their new line( post coming soon on that) but as a treat i'll be getting a different one as soon as!.
Did I just just get a bad one? What are your thoughts on MAC lipsticks?

Catrice The GIANT Extreme Volume Mascara

Hey guys,
I'm back with another Catrice product review for you today and this has been one of my favourite mascaras for a good while now.

This is one of the best mascaras I've come across in a long time and for an amazing price as well-around the 4.20 euro mark.

It has a conical wand with bristles that grab every single lash. It's also very pigmented as well as long wearing-no flaking with this bad boy, no siree Bob. The formula is neither too wet or too dry, it's just right.

This is my eyelashes with nothing on them-not the best, not the worst.
And this is with one coat of mascara
just one!
It really does thicken the lashes as well as add length and i love it!
Application is easy, there's no real danger of poking your eye out with it, unlike some-I'm looking at you Benefit They're Real- and it comes off easily with any normal makeup remover.
For the price and the results i would definitly recommend this.
have you tried this mascara?what were your thoughts?

Catrice BB All Round Foundation

Hey guys, and welcome to my blog.
For my first post I'm going to talk about a BB/foundation I haven't really heard that much about in the blogging world for some reason. This product is easily the best BB cream I've found on the market without having to spend half a weeks wages on.
Propped up by Dillard the Duck

It's quite a thick consistency as you can see here;

It also strangely enough has a bit of a gritty texture as you start to work it in but it disappears quickly so its not to big of an issue.
Blended out it has a medium coverage- easily the best coverage I've seen in a product that markets itself as a BB cream anyway. And thankfully not orange tinged which is something of a miracle in a drugstore BB cream.

It has a demi-matte finish to it so perfect for summer as you won't be looking too shiny, but also not flat like some matte foundations can look like. There are 3, possibly 4 shade ranges in this. I have the lightest and it's fine as long as i blend it down my neck a little, but i am quite pale anyway.
Overall i think it's a very good product for under 6 Euros and would suit the majority of skin types.I, myself have dry skin but do get oily occasionally and it works for me all the time.
What are your thoughts on this?I'd love to hear your opinions...
